The Randoms optimistic after average group stage draw

Random FC have confirmed their place in the European International Cup as the Euro Super League side prepare for an relaxing pre-season.

Co-managed by Cameron Smith and Rowan Lynott, Random FC have been drafted into a rather straight-forward group which includes Belgian team RC Charleroi, English outfit Charlton Athletic and Swedish club IF Elfsborg. If the R's pass through the group stage, they will have to play in the semi-final before advancing to the grand final.

In Group B, Italian side Pescara look to be the favourites to proceed into the next round with Scotland's Aberdeen close behind.

Arising from their seats at the front of the auditorium in Switzerland, Smith and Lynott had big smiles on their faces after being drawn into this mediocre group. The RFC YouTube channel managed to grab a few words from Lynott before their plane ride home to London. "I don't want to sound arrogant because it would smack me right in the face after the tournament but.. I think we will end up in the final four."

"He will be dealt with!" - Smith sanctions Boris

Random FC's co-manager Cameron Smith has revealed that Boris Johnson will be fined after his shenanigans in an East-London night club.

Johnson, 51, was pictured by fans in a night club named 'Yahoo' at 3am after Tuesday's 3-1 Champions League victory against Napoli. Consuming alcoholic beverages without an official license from the club is against the regulations of Random FC and can be punished by either a suspension, a fine or a trigger of the release clause.

"Boris is a good lad and he learns from these things but it is simply unacceptable to go out with no permission from the club. He signed a contract which agreed he would follow these strict rules and he has broken them. He will be dealt with." Smith told RFC's YouTube channel.

Chief-executive Reuben Sinclair had something to say on the matter as he told the Daily Express that the centre-back (who has only made two appearances this season due to the form of Charismatic Enigma and LOL) could be docked three weeks wages but is unlikely to be suspended from entering the training ground.

Johnson, who has been a Millwall fan since he was a young
boy, scored against Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup.

Casey and RJ will deliver- Lynott

Co- manager Rowan Lynott recons Casey and RJ will deliver the goals this season despite the Daily Mail saying there will be to much pressure on the two strikers.

"Casey and RJ are great lads. They work hard in training and it pays off in matches. They read the game well and they'll certainly deliver in the Premier League."

Casey, 19, has already made 23 appearences for his national side (USA), scoring on 13 occasions. RJ however has only scored twice in 9 capps dude to illness and the form of former- Fulham player Clint Dempsey.

"The papers don't know who they are. Only we know if they are progressing or not. To be honest, it's not anything that they should be putting their nose into."
When asked who is going to start in the first match of the Premier League season, Lynott replied:
"We'll just have to find out..."

Q and A with LOL

Midfielder and co-captain LOL took time to talk to us about playing against his boyhood club, the title contenders and more.

Q: Who do you think is going to shine for Random FC this season?
A: Well, we work as a team of course and we have many talented players and I can't pick one so I'll have to pick two. Rodrigo and Pablo are class.

Q: Growing up as a Arsenal supporter, how are you going to feel walking out onto the Emirates pitch?
A: That was a long long time ago and I do admit, I support Arsenal. But I am certainly commited to Random FC and I always will be until the rest of my time here. It will be a dream come true to walk out on the turf of my dreams.

Q: Will the fans impact on your performance?
A: Of course they will. Every single one of them. I feel so honoured to play for a team which has such good supporters who never, ever stop singing. I have been with 5 different clubs, and this is the best bunch of fans out of all of them.

Q: Would you think of yourself as a playmaker, defensive or goal-scoring midfielder?
A: Haha. Well, all of them really. Before each match the bosses give us those types of midfielders and assigns one to each of us.

Q: Final question, how hounoured do you feel to be made captain of Random FC?
A: What? I'm captain? Only joking with ya'! Too much to explain really. Just wanna thank everyone for helping to do that.

In a fortnight, Legendario will be talking to us...
